Aarhus School of Engineering Leading the Way with Affordable Living

Education Environment

Aarhus School of Engineering, Aarhus School of Marine and Technical Engineering and INCUBA will open it’s newest section, Navitas, on the docklands of Aarhus – completion is expected in spring 2014.

Navitas will be an open and vivid house with more than 2,000 students, staff teachers and reseachers and about 400-600 company employees associated with INCUBA Science Park. This will create great opportunities for synergies between businesses and academia as well as research and development with a key focus on energy.

Navitas will be a centre for new knowledge and products and new methods will emerge from this combination of entrepeneurship, business development as well as research and development thus promoting employment and exports and helping fulfil national climate goals.

INCUBA aims to make Navitas an environment for entrepreneurship and business development in the energy sector, and with engagement, creativity and willingness the foundation is laid for great results.

Housed in a 38,000 m2, 7 storey, low energy (EU Energy Class 1) building, Navitas will have several of its energy saving techniques and technologies showcased in open displays for the public. Navitas will provide space for about 2,000 students, 300 teaching staff and researchers as well as 400-600 company employees associated with INCUBA Science Park.

In connection with the building structure, the City of Aarhus will construct a public parking lot with approx. 450 parking spaces.
